Meet Andrea. This sweet girl came to us in bad shape and we had to amputate her front leg. Andrea is now healthy and happy and gets along great. She loves all other dogs, kids, and our larger animals. Andrea is pretty girl, approximately three years old and such a love.

Chance

Meet Chance. This sweet and handsome boy was found on the beach begging for food. He was starving as apparently he was dumped there. Today Chance is happy, healthy, and so thankful for good Samaritans who took him into their hotel and started to feed him. They reached out to us and we were able to take him due to they had to fly back to the US. Chance is approximately two years old, healthy, neutered, and ready to meet his new loving family.

Brownie

Meet Brownie. This sweet girl is approximately two years old and was found alone with six adorable puppies. Despite facing severe emaciation she fought hard to keep her babies alive. Brownie was a great mom and all the puppies are thriving and starting to get adopted. She is now spayed, healthy, and so sweet. She will make a great new pet for a lucky family.

Meet Willie. This large shy boy is two years old and was a street dog. He was found starving and terrified of humans. Willie has gained all his weight, very healthy now, and starting to trust humans each day more and more. What a sweet boy and deserves a loving home and never has to live on the streets again.

Meet Manchas. What a loving nugget this one is…and lucky to be alive. He was found unable to walk in the woods alone due to a blood disease and malnutrition. Manchas is getting stronger each day and loves attention. He is small in size, and 10 months old. If you can open your home and heart to this lucky little survival please do.

Meet Alambrito. This sweet boy is two years old and was brought in by Dr. Andrey after being found with a terrible leg injury. He had barbed wire wrapped around his back paw. He was hours away from needing his leg amputated. We saved his leg and he is starting to put weight on it. Alambrito is super sweet, but shy as we can tell he needs to learn to trust humans. With love and healing Alambrito will make an amazing new pet.

Meet Diego. This adorable 6 month old puppy will surely steal your heart. Diego is ready for his new home -- a home full of cuddles and love!

Oso

Meet Oso. He came to us as a puppy left an abandoned in a box with his siblings. A Good Samaritan called us to help. He was adopted as a puppy, but he got Osteomyelitis in his right back leg and it had to be removed. His owners decided they couldn't care for him well so we took him back and performed the surgery. He is now two years old, gets along great, is super loving, and would love a home all his own. Oso does love other dogs, but especially being given loads of attention and rubs!

Thomas

Thomas is approximately two years old and was rescued after being hit by a car in Liberia. Thomas was treated for severe injuries but has since made an amazing recovery. This fun loving and playful boy will steal your heart. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his new loving family to adopt him. We promise he will bring so much joy to your life.

Hermosa

Hermosa is approximately four years old and so very beautiful. We received a call to see if we could rescue her with her seven young puppies, which were in a state of malnutrition and dehydration. Upon arriving at the site in an empty lot, we found the dog protecting the puppies hid in a cave, which were rescued by our team and placed safely in a carrier and brought to our rescue. Hermosa is now in good health, sterilized, and available for adoption. Three of her precious puppies are still available for adoption. This girl will for sure steal your heart!

Meet Romeo. This precious handsome boy is 9 months old, very healthy, and we promise he will steal your heart.  He came to us with his other siblings as tiny puppies, left to fend for themselves. He is sterilized and ready to find his loving new family. 💓🐾

Rosa

Meet Rosa. This resilient girl has quite the story. She was found by our team alone, abandoned, near death, and with four four month old puppies. Rosa had also been hit by a car and had a badly broken leg. Due to she had puppies and her leg injury was older, we kept her comfortable but allowed her to continue to nurse her puppies. One month later while with us Rosa gave birth to another six puppies, while healing herself, and with the older puppies. This sweet loving girl always stays positive and was such a great mom to her puppies. They now are all weaned and Rosa is ready to get adopted. We love her so much and you will too. Rosa is 3 years old.

Meet Perla. This sweet 1 year old puppy is not only very unique looking, but so snuggly. She is healthy, sterilized, and ready for a home all her own.

Meet Lana. This high energy 1 year old girl is super playful, fun loving, and loves human contact. She needs a home where she can run and play a lot, get loads of attention, and snuggle with you too. She is healthy and ready for her new loving home.

Meet Lexy. This sweet girl came in with three siblings and his mom, Rosa. Lexy loves the other dogs and to play like a wild child. She will thrive in a home where she can run and play, but also get cuddles and belly rubs. Lexy is a smaller size girl with a huge heart.

Meet Anna. This super playful, high energy girl loves to explore, is very curious, smart, affectionate, and loves human contact. She plays well with other dogs, but will need some obedience training. Anna is an approximately three years old and we can just tell will be a loyal loving fur friend to a new family.

Meet Pintas. This sweet boy is very loving, but very shy. He has been with us for a very long time and is approximately 10 years old. Pintas loves to meet the new dogs and help them get acclimated to the rescue. Pintas will remain at Guayabo Animal Rescue for his remaining years. When you visit you will surely fall in love with his loving attitude.

Meet Pennie. She one of six dogs left abandoned in the woods. She is now two years old, and after a lot of needed medical attention she is happy, playful, and ready for a new forever home. She weighs 40 pounds, spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Pennie is super sweet and will thrive in a home where she gets loads of attention.
