Meet Wonda. This little girl came to us with her momma, Cervaza, and siblings. They were left abandoned in the woods to fend for themselves. Wonda is sweet and will sure steal your heart. Meet Gorda. This sweet one year old girl is so cute with her big ears, sleek coat, and inquisitive way about her. Gorda came to us with another dog, Lobita, who both were dumped on the side of a lonely highway together left to starve. We found them just in time and now they are heathy, sterilized, and looking for their adoptive home.

Meet Lobita. This sweet one year old girl looks like a coyote and wolf mix, so regal and stunning to look at, and also so sweet in demeanor. Lobita came to us with another dog, Gorda, who both were dumped on the side of a lonely highway together left to starve. We found them just in time and now they are heathy, sterilized, and looking for their adoptive home.

Meet Mapache. This super fun loving little girl is four months ago, spayed, and ready for her new loving home. Mapache loves to be cuddled and getting so much of your attention. She will be small to medium sized, is very active, curious, and playful. Mapache will for sure steal your heart.

Lilo
Meet Lilo. This sweet two year old was found by university students in Liberia. Extremely scared, emaciated, and with a wound on her hide end. Lilo has healed nicely, minus a tail that is a curly cue, which is endearing. She also has cool big ears. Lilo loves attention, loves the other dogs, and will make an amazing pet. She does like to run about, so being couped up would not be good for her. If you have a place in your heart from Lilo reach out.

Meet Pablo. This sweet smaller-sized dog was found limping due to a badly broken leg. Two sisters brought him to us and just in time. Pablo’s injury is being treated and once ready he will make an amazing new home for someone. He is approximately three years old and so cuddly. Meet Loco. This sweet Austrian Shepherd mix is approximately three years old, healthy, and ready to be adopted. Loco was unfortunately dumped in the woods to fend for himself, but ended up in our care. If interested in adopting this handsome boy please let us know.

Estrella
Meet Estrella. This sweet dog was recused from the streets with a severe hip fracture. Our medical team needed to do major surgery on her leg due to the extreme injury. Estrella is getting along great and her leg is healing. She is a sweet girl and approximately 4 years old. If interested in adopting this precious little girl please let us know.

Asha
Meet Asha. She was found by a loving couple from the US, alone and starving to death. They brought her to us and she is getting stronger each day. She is a large size dog, approximately five year old, and loves everyone. Asha will do best being able to be with her humans, inside at night snuggling, and getting lots of exercise during the day. Meet Logan. This super cute and loving seven month old boy will surely warm your heart. He came to us with siblings alone and ill. After medical treatment for severe skin issues he is healing and getting healthier each day. Logan is castrated, loves all other dogs, belly rubs, and to play. Logan is ready to find his forever home and if interested in adopting Logan let us know.

Andrea
Meet Andrea. This sweet girl came to us in bad shape and we had to amputate her front leg. Andrea is now healthy and happy and gets along great. She loves all other dogs, kids, and our larger animals. Andrea is pretty girl, approximately three years old and such a love.

Chance
Meet Chance. This sweet and handsome boy was found on the beach begging for food. He was starving as apparently he was dumped there. Today Chance is happy, healthy, and so thankful for good Samaritans who took him into their hotel and started to feed him. They reached out to us and we were able to take him due to they had to fly back to the US. Chance is approximately two years old, healthy, neutered, and ready to meet his new loving family.

Manchas
Meet Manchas. What a loving nugget this one is…and lucky to be alive. He was found unable to walk in the woods alone due to a blood disease and malnutrition. Manchas is getting stronger each day and loves attention. He is small in size, and 10 months old. If you can open your home and heart to this lucky little survival please do.

Alambrito
Meet Alambrito. This sweet boy is two years old and was brought in by Dr. Andrey after being found with a terrible leg injury. He had barbed wire wrapped around his back paw. He was hours away from needing his leg amputated. We saved his leg and he is starting to put weight on it. Alambrito is super sweet, but shy as we can tell he needs to learn to trust humans. With love and healing Alambrito will make an amazing new pet.

Meet Parches. This handsome boy came to us in terrible shape, with various illnesses that were quite costly to cure. Parches is approximately seven years old and has healed very well. He loves belly rubs, loads of attention, and all the other dogs. This sweet boy is now available for adoption, so if you can open your home and heart to this sweet dog, please do!

Hermosa
Hermosa is approximately four years old and so very beautiful. We received a call to see if we could rescue her with her seven young puppies, which were in a state of malnutrition and dehydration. Upon arriving at the site in an empty lot, we found the dog protecting the puppies hid in a cave, which were rescued by our team and placed safely in a carrier and brought to our rescue. Hermosa is now in good health, sterilized, and available for adoption. Three of her precious puppies are still available for adoption. This girl will for sure steal your heart!

Rosa
Meet Rosa. This resilient girl has quite the story. She was found by our team alone, abandoned, near death, and with four four month old puppies. Rosa had also been hit by a car and had a badly broken leg. Due to she had puppies and her leg injury was older, we kept her comfortable but allowed her to continue to nurse her puppies. One month later while with us Rosa gave birth to another six puppies, while healing herself, and with the older puppies. This sweet loving girl always stays positive and was such a great mom to her puppies. They now are all weaned and Rosa is ready to get adopted. We love her so much and you will too. Rosa is 3 years old.

Meet Perla. This sweet 1 year old puppy is not only very unique looking, but so snuggly. She is healthy, sterilized, and ready for a home all her own.

Meet Huesos. This sweet special needs boy is three years old and has a neurological disorder. He is happy, fun loving, loves his other doggie friends, and will remain at the sanctuary for the rest of his years! We love our sweet Huesos and he is available for adoption!

Meet Lana. This high energy 1 year old girl is super playful, fun loving, and loves human contact. She needs a home where she can run and play a lot, get loads of attention, and snuggle with you too. She is healthy and ready for her new loving home.

Meet Anna. This super playful, high energy girl loves to explore, is very curious, smart, affectionate, and loves human contact. She plays well with other dogs, but will need some obedience training. Anna is an approximately three years old and we can just tell will be a loyal loving fur friend to a new family.

Meet Pintas. This sweet boy is very loving, but very shy. He has been with us for a very long time and is approximately 10 years old. Pintas loves to meet the new dogs and help them get acclimated to the rescue. Pintas will remain at Guayabo Animal Rescue for his remaining years. When you visit you will surely fall in love with his loving attitude.

Pennie
Meet Pennie. She one of six dogs left abandoned in the woods. She is now two years old, and after a lot of needed medical attention she is happy, playful, and ready for a new forever home. She weighs 40 pounds, spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Pennie is super sweet and will thrive in a home where she gets loads of attention.
